Hello! Welcome to Simple & Eco

I’m a nature loving musician from Sydney who has had the unique experience of growing up both on a farm and in the city. Ultimately the purpose of this little blog is to provide simple ways of living a more eco-friendly lifestyle regardless of whether you live in an apartment, house or farm.

Too often I feel like the idea of ‘going green’ feels like making extreme changes to your lifestyle and, for a lot of people, it seems too difficult or just too impractical to implement into their everyday routines. More and more I’m finding so many small and simple things that you can do to make your lifestyle more green that really won’t take up much of your time, or have a big impact to how you live your life (other than being more environmentally friendly of course!)

Ultimately the purpose of this little blog is to provide simple ways of living a more eco-friendly lifestyle

I hope that by sharing some of these simple game changers in reducing waste and becoming more ‘eco’ I hope you can be inspired to make little changes that will go on to have a big impact for our planet!

About the farm

Exploring just how self sufficient we can get!

In 2005 my dad decided to buy 100 acres of land in the NSW Great Lakes region. Since then he’s been commuting there every weekend with myself and sometimes my mum. Neither he or my mum had any experience growing up or maintaining a farm, so it definitely was a steep learning curve, and we’re lucky we had a lot of help along the way. As life has gotten busier for me/growing my career I’m not able to go up every weekend, but try to average 1 – 2 times per month.

Since the pandemic I’ve found that having land and a place to escape the city has become valuable, and im so grateful to be able to have access to such a beautiful place.

Now that I am a bit older, im hoping to utilise the amazing opportunity that we have with the farm and look to making my lifestyle more self sufficient in the long term. This is definitely a long term plan and im hoping to be able to share this journey through this blog.
